Future Stars Award

If you have bowled in fewer than eight (8) total PWBA national tournaments and fewer than three (3) PWBA national tournaments in a single season, submit your application today for the Future Stars Award. 

• Applications must be received no later than 11:59 PM (Pacific time) on March 31, 2025.
• Applications must be submitted via Google Forms (see link above).
• Please provide at least two (2) letters of recommendation. Letters of reference should be submitted via email to futurestars@bowlforward.org — please be sure to include the applicant's full name and "Future Stars Award" in the subject of the email.  At least one letter should be from a coach, teacher, employer, supervisor, or other contact known to you in their professional capacity. We are especially interested in letters from those familiar with your passion for and dedication to bowling.
• One submission per applicant, please.  

Applicants must meet each of the following requirements as of April 1, 2025. Winners will have eligibility verified prior to receiving any award.

• Must be 18 years or older as of April 1, 2025
• Must not have bowled in eight (8) or more PWBA national tournaments after 2015, including the USBC Queens and the U.S. Women’s Open, including any PTQ for those tournaments
• Must not have bowled in three (3) or more national tournaments in a single PWBA season, including any PTQ for those tournaments
• May not have held a PWBA Membership at any time prior to the 2025 PWBA season.

Winners will be selected by a committee of volunteers from around the bowling industry (the “Committee”). Committee Members will review each submission, and will select three (3) winners based on a) the applicants’ dedication to becoming a professional bowler, and b) the applicants’ demonstration, through their essays of how the award will help them achieve their goals for their first PWBA seasons.

One (1) Winner will receive $1,500 (USD). Two (2) Winners will receive $500 (USD) each. Winner eligibility, including the purchase of a PWBA Membership for the 2025 PWBA season, will be verified prior to the payout of an award. Should a Winner be found ineligible for an award after being chosen, the Winner will be notified and given an opportunity to correct eligibility prior to receiving an award. If a Winner is subsequently determined to be ineligible for the award, the applicant with the next-highest ranked submission, as chosen by the Committee, will receive the award. 

BowlForward will make every effort to select Award Winners by April 1, 2025. Awards will be provided no later than May 1, 2025. Should the schedule change due to unforeseen circumstances, BowlForward will notify applicants at the earliest date possible.

All decisions regarding eligibility, finalists, and Award Winners are at the sole discretion of the Committee. 

BowlForward provides these awards as gifts. BowlForward is not a 501(c)(3) entity. Winners are solely responsible for determining any tax liability related to the acceptance of an award. 

BowlForward will issue awards in the form of entry fees or other PWBA expenses paid directly to the PWBA on behalf of Award Winners.
